The following pages are from the origional book published by Messenger of Peace, St. Joseph, Missouri c1891, titled "Life
and Travels, Labors and Writings of Elder Peter L. Branstetter." The book is hard bound, cloth covered book with
several sections. Currently, Jeannette has carefully transcribed the "Trip to California" section only. The additional
sections are planned in the future. This piece is the diary Peter L. kept during his travel from Pike County Missouri to
Weber Creek California in search of gold. Jeannette has labored many hours on this project adding maps and pictures to
help make his story more vivid. Hopefully after reading her work we will be better able to understand the trials of his
journy.
