| After over thirty years of government service, Jeannette decides to retire. |
Jeannette Barnes began her government career in 1973 working at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery in
northern California. She transferred to the Bureau of Reclamation in January of 1976 working at the Red Bluff
Diversion Dam on the Sacramento River. In 1987 she moved to southern Idaho and her work at USDA
Agricultural Research Service in Kimberly Idaho. Retiring from government service June 30, 2005, she
operates her farm, Desert Vista, and is currently researching and documenting the genealogy of the
Branstetter and Adams families.
